SYMPTOMS

P1336 – Ignition system. Misfiring detected.
P0301 – Cylinder 1. Misfiring detected.
P0302 – Cylinder 2. Misfiring detected.

P0304 – Cylinder 4. Misfiring detected.
P0363 – False detonation detected. Fuel supply interrupted.
Fault codes are recorded in the engine control unit.
The vehicle displays one or several of the above-mentioned fault codes.
Engine Warning Lamp (MIL) is illuminated.
The engine jerks.
The engine is operating irregularly.
Engine power is reduced.

NOTE : The fault code/s may be accompanied by other fault codes.

CAUSES

  • Incorrect locking of the ignition coil levers.
  • Aspiration of the condensation present in the air heat exchanger.

SOLUTION

Repair procedure:

  • Confirm that the symptoms mentioned in the symptom field of this technical bulletin are present.
  • Read the fault codes recorded in the control unit using the diagnostic tool.
  • Confirm that one or several of the fault codes mentioned in the symptom field of this technical bulletin are recorded.
  • Check the ignition coil lever lock (See image 1.A, 1.B).
  • Check the position of the lever on the ignition coil (See image 1 C).
  • Verify that the ignition coil lever is not deformed into a trapezoidal shape.
  • Verify the positioning of the ignition coil lever shaft within its housing (See image 1 D).
  • Relocate the ignition coil lever if necessary.
  • Check the coupling of the ignition coils by pressing the ignition coils.
  • Reprogramme the engine control unit with updated software.
